2009 Conservation Auction
Where: Fiesta convention center
When 7:00 p.m. November 14
The San Diego Zoo will receive the proceeds from this years auction. The proceeds will go to help fund the Pyxis tortoise project currently underway at the zoo.
  This years guest auctioneer is Ken Foose. Ken Foose: produced his first captive-bred snakes at age 11.  With a master’s in zoology, he has been both zookeeper and curator.  He opened Exotic Pets, which specializes in reptiles and amphibians, in Las Vegas, Nev., 16 years ago, and he is currently vice president of the International Herpetological Symposium.
